Platelet aggregation inhibitors with secondary plant substances as the active ingredient

Indications

PRIMARY PREVENTION

• With one or more risk factors for arteriosclerosis, incl.: age (55 or

above), male sex, smoking, long haul flights, genetic predisposition, lack of movement, stress

• Diabetes mellitus type II
• Obesity
• Hypertension
• Metabolic disorder

SECONDARY PREVENTION

• As additional protection with ASA or when taking marcumar
• With ASA non responders, ASA intolerance or increased risk of bleeding

Thromboflow® is a natural thrombocyte aggregation inhibitor based on more than 30 tomato-phytochemicals for improving blood flow and primary prevention of arteriosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. The benefit of the active substance complex regarding inhibition of platelet aggregation has been proven in 8 randomised, placebo-controlled, double-blind human studies and confirmed by the European Food Safety Authority, the EFSA: In 97 percent of subjects thrombocyte aggregation clearly begins to decline within 1.5 hours. Thromboflow® reduces the activation tendency of thrombocytes and reduces the atherothrombosis risk. Furthermore, Thromboflow® has an important reversal effect on the inflammatory process of arteriosclerosis. Unlike ASA, which (only) inhibits the cyclooxygenase (COX) irreversibly, ThrombofloW® reversibly inhibits a variety of activation channels which bring about an increase in the activities of the fibrinogen receptor GP IIb/ Ilia. ThrombofloW® achieves about 30-50 percent of the inhibition induced by ASA. The cardiovascular protective effect in the Thromboflow® capsules is further increased by resveratrol. Resveratrol is able to lower TNF-a and interleukin values, impacts positively on blood cholesterol composition and also directly affects platelet aggregation. The resveratrol content of a capsule of Thromboflow® is equal to that of a litre of red wine or 1 .5 kg of red grapes.

Notes

Thromboflow® is not a medicine. Taking it together with ASA or Marcumar is harmless. It does not lead to a potentiation of the effect. Anticoagulants prescribed for secondary prevention by a doctor should not be discontinued. Thromboflow® should not be taken if there is an allergy to tomatoes or red grapes.
